Iker organized and guided us through a great day in La Rioja. He is a passionate, charming knowledgable, and considerate guide that I will hire again when we visit this lovely region. We visited two wineries – one older, historic family-owned winery, and a new, modern winery. Lunch was at a small restaurant, featuring delicious, homemade traditional food, including wine made by the owners. We also had a nice walking tour of LaGuardia. We had a great tour with Iker as we learned a lot about the Basque culture, history of San Sebastian and tasted pintxos with several typical drinks. The highlight was Iker taking us to his private Dinner club which we had read about prior to the trip and he explained the tradition of the club and how it works on honour. Thanks Iker-I wanted an education on Basque culture and received all I expected, and more, including access to sites not available to most tourists. Iker provided very flexible touring options suited for me rather than any set and rigid program and this was very valuable. Iker was a great tour guide. He was very knowledgeable of the area which made the long drive to La Rioja very interesting. The winery tours he arranged gave us a real contrast in style and we enjoyed seeing them both. Walking the narrow streets of La Guardia was a highlight, along with the traditional Basque lunch.
